From the Momma

Hi Everyone!  I just want to take over Corbin's blog today to thank everyone for their kind words and their thoughts and prayers for Christopher and my family yesterday, and the continuous prayers for Christopher's recovery.  I'm very happy to report that Christopher's surgery went great.  The doctor was very happy with the procedure and finished quicker than expected.  They ran into no complications and the plastic surgeon said he has very strong bones for a child his age.  Christopher will be recovering in the hospital for the next 5-7 days.  Nothing I've ever experienced in my life prepared me for seeing Christopher in the ICU yesterday.  He seems so tiny.  He spiked a fever last night, but it's now back to normal.

All of your thoughts are greatly appreciated.  Christopher had so many people praying for him yesterday from all over the world.  I know that had something to do with the quickness and success of the surgery.  So, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!  Corbin will be back tomorrow and will continue to give you updates on our little trooper!
This was taken back in October... He does love his Auntie!

  2. yey Christopher.... great news. Things will turn out just fine we just know it...keep your chins.. I have gone through a lot of surgeries as an infant to late teen. One thing I've found that helps parents of a baby that has to undergo surgeries is that "they wont remember". As hard as it is to see them with all the tubes and what not. They wont remember the pain.

  3. Awww we didn't know anything about it...kind of been MIA with my blogging lately :( I hope everything goes okay with his recovery and we will be sending lots of prayers. This hit mommy close to home because of my little brother who is 7 months old. Mommy's very sensitive to little babies and sympathizes when others have to go through difficult times with children. Again, sending prayers for a speedy recovery. xoxo Jada & Mommy
