Corbin's House of Terror!
Beware! If you're easily scared, I suggest you skip to the last part of this blog, or exit all together!
Last warning!!!!!!!!
Boo!
Ok, if that last Boo! didn't scare you, you're okay to read on!
So, that picture is what MY house looked like last night. Scary, huh?
Why does our house look like that mom? |
What do you mean it's in my imagination? No, there's photo proof our house DEFINITELY looks like that... Something bad is going to happen..... |
AhhhhhH!!!! NO! You're NOT cutting my nails! Please tell me this is a No, no, no, no, no! This can not be happening... |
My life is over, and these are the tools that will end it. |
I'm makin' like a ghost... and I'M OUTTA HERE! |
See, mom! I don't think there's anything wrong with my nails! |
I'M NOT LOOKING!!! You can take by paw, but you will never take my FREEDOM! |
Ok, Ok, Ok! I surrender!!! Please! STOP!!! |
Why? Why must you do this to me? |
No way, Jose! I'm NOT going back over there. I don't care if you say we're done. You could be lying! Could be a TRICK! Are you NUTS?! |
Well... what's that smell? Smells yummy.... |
Are you sure we're done? Promise, no tricks? |
Ok, I'll forgive you if you give me that bully stick. I'm sitting.... Can I please have it? |
YEP! That's the one!!! Give it to me!!!!! You've torchered me enough, lady! |
I'll take that, THANK YOU! |
Let go of it! I deserve that fair and square!!!! |
STOP following me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
I'm just going to pretend I don't see you... and savor every bite of this bully stick after what I had to endure to get it! BAD MOM. |
What else ya got for me? 1 Bully stick was not enough. I need more... whatcha got? |
A new non stuffed stuffie?! OH BOY! |
I'M OUTTA HERE!!!!!!! |
Well, for those of you who couldn't read through my horrible experience, you can pick up reading again! I just wanted to thank everyone for their nice comments about my new foster sister! Mom really likes the name "Tessa" which was inspired by Mayzie! And she also likes Suzie because she checked out the link Elyse left us and saw this quote that she liked so much for Sassy's sistuation: "I do not know the word 'quit.' Either I never did, or I have abolished it." which was said by Susan Butcher, Iditarod winner, 1988. Susan is way too formal for my new sister, so we thought we could shorten it to Suzie. We'll see though. Mom will probably wait until we meet her to decide. If you have anymore suggestions, please send them through! I'm getting really excited to meet her!
Later dudes!

New Foster Sister!
My new foster sister will be here in EIGHT days!!!! Her name is Sassy - although, I talked to mom about changing it. For one, she does NOT look like a Sassy... and for two, she's had a pretty rough life up until now, so we're going to give her a fresh start, a fresh name, and a fresh second chance!
Sassy is a 2 year old, American Bulldog (mix?). She was purchased for fighting and has been put in some very compromising situations and over-bred (Yes... at the age of TWO!) She was hit by and rolled under a truck and left in a ditch. Her "owner" watched as a passerby picked her up and took her to the vet. She had a broken pelvis and a break in her sinus cavity and loads of asphalt embedded in her ear flaps. It's been six weeks since her accident and just had follow up x-rays done last week and is fully healed! She's GREAT with other dogs and has no interest in cats.
Here are some pictures of "Sassy" aka nonamefostersister.
She's a super cute and I can't wait to meet her! I plan on showing her the ropes of upstate NY and helping her find the MOST PERFECT furever home! And, of course, thinking of a new name for her! She might be a Sassy Lady, but she sure doesn't look like a Sassy to me! I'll have to do some research of sassy ladies in history... maybe I'll rename her Marilyn... hehe. I'm sure Mom will have some better pictures once she arrives next Saturday! (11/6)

There are still 16 of Sassy's dog friends and 46 of her kitty friends still waiting for rescue or a furever home in Tennessee. Please, if you know a rescue that is willing to take in one, contat me so my mom can get you intouch with the right people to arrange transport to you. OhCuteCorbin(at)gmail(dot)com. Click Here for the listing of dogs, then you can just click on the cats side bar to see the kitties.

Boring Blog...
Not much to say, but my NY Giants WON last night against Dallas! They took Tony Romo out of the game - and, most likely for the season!!! I'm not a fan of anyone getting hurt, but the G-Defense is awesome this season!
Still working on homes for the pups and kitties at the Cumberland County Humane Society in Tennessee. My new foster sister will be coming from there and arriving on November 6th! I'll share pictures of her with you as soon as everything is finalized!
Quick blog today...
Go vote for me here! Handsome, huh? |

PeeS. If you didn't catch my previous post, the Humane Society of Cumberland County in Tennessee is being forced to close it's doors on November 5, 2010. They had 39 dogs and 56 cats that needed to find homes. They're down to 18 dogs and 50 cats. If you know of any rescues that will take some of these dogs and/or cats, please have them contact me so I can get you in touch with the nice people down there: OhCuteCorbin(at)gmail(dot)com. Also, a HUGE Thank You to everyone who also posted this on their blogs! Just getting the word out is SO helpful, because that's a whole different set of eyes and someone might be able to save even just one dog or cat. Hopefully we can make sure all of these dogs and cats find new homes, fosters or rescues! We don't know when we will be getting my new foster sister from there, yet. Probably within the next 2 weeks!

Ok Bloggin' Furiends!!!!!!! Are any of you in Tenessee??? My mom got word that the Humane Society of Cumberland County is being forced to close it's doors on November 5, 2010. They are currently the home to 40 dogs and 50 cats that now need to find their furever home or a rescue to take them in before November 5th!
Here is their website:

So, if you're in the area, know of anyone in the area, or know of any rescues that will be able to take one of these great pups, please contact them! Or contact me so I can tell my mom and she can get you in touch with the correct person! OhCuteCorbin(at)Gmail(dot)com <-- That's me!
PeeS. If anyone around me is interested in any of these dogs, let me know and I can get them sent up here with the 1 dog my rescue is definitely getting. Sadly, we don't have enough foster homes to take more than 1 right now.

Long BUSY weekend, Part 4!
Here it is, folks! The last part of my weekend! After my walk with Maggie Mae and Levi, mom and I head up to the Saratoga to meet Uncle CC.
We walked around for a bit, got some Starbucks, sat and enjoyed the sites for a while.. then we decided to go to the Saratoga Sloppy Kisses! I had previously been to the one in Clifton Park. Mom forgot to bring treats along with her (can you believe that?!), so she was going to buy me some. Well, thankfully, I decided I wanted to go into another area of the store that mom was just going to ignore. Good thing I did, because THIS is what I picked out for myself!
I met lots of cool dogs and even another boxer like Maggie Mae! I did want to touch on a subject that I always found interesting. One of my favorite blogs to follow is Two Pitties in the City. They're always blogging about how much more attention their pooches get when they're wearing some sort of costume or jacket. After my walk in Saratoga, I couldn't agree more! Before my mom and Uncle CC took me to Sloppy Kisses, we walked up and down Broadway a few times. I was only stopped twice by people saying how handsome I was and asking if they could pet me. Once we left Sloppy Kisses and I was wearing my new t-shirt, we couldn't go more than 5 steps without someone commenting about me, talking to my mom or asking if they could pet me. My mom couldn't believe the difference!
A lot of people asked my mom what breed of dog I was. This gave her a lot of opportunities to promote the rescue where I came from. People couldn't believe I was a rescue dog! Mom let people guess what breeds they thought I was - she always finds it very interesting what people see in me. She got the usual - Boxer, Lab, Great Dane. One said French Mastive - which our bloggin' girl, Zelle, mentioned to us not too long ago. People were shocked when my mom said she thought the majority of my breed was American Staffordshire. I think it's because I'm so tall and slender, people don't see the typical pitbull features. Needless to say, it was a great adventure and a lot of fun. When my mom mentioned that I was a pitbull breed, people couldn't believe how friendly and calm I was. Changing minds, one by one.
Do you have any suggestions as to what breeds I may be???
Thanks for following along with my busy weekend!
Hm... I don't see Uncle CC yet, mom. |
Eat your heart out, Fred!!! You got the tag, I got the threads!!!! |
Ohhh Eeeeee, I'm lookin' good now! |
The ladies were ALL over me! |
Back up mom... me and Uncle CC are going to do our thing... |
I see a cutie over there, Uncle CC... |
I gotta stand up so I can show off my guns... |
See, ladies, I'm a softie at heart... I'll even pose with my momma because she complained on her bday that we don't have any pictures of us together... I'm a good guy ((Cough |
There was a lot of our walk that mom didn't get pictures of. |
But I sure was tired... It's a lot of work being a STUD 24/7!!! |
