Meet Serena

Hi Friends!
Meet my new foster sister, Serena!

Now, I know Serena doesn't look anything like a Pit Bull, but, I assure you... my house of foster kids does not discriminate!  We're an equal opportunity foster home.

However, I did deem Diva Serena an honorary Pit Bull while she's staying with us.  Serena reminds us a lot of our friend Lightening, from the Woos.  And, I'd like to thank the Woo Momma for giving my momma some advices on husky kids.

I mean, just how are we supposed to play bitey face when I always get a mouth full of white fuzz?!  I'm a little baffled, but we're learning to get along.

Now, I must admit, because honesty is the best policy, I was not a fan of Serena when she first came.  Our normal introduction period took a lot longer than it usually does, but we finally settled down Saturday night.  Then, Sunday morning when we were going out for morning potty time, I kind of got a little grumpy and snapped at Serena.  Ok, well, if we're being honest, it was a little more than snapping... and I waited until I was JUST out of the momma's reach when I did it.  But, she wasn't far away and broke up our little tiff rather quickly.  It's the first time I've done that, and I'm pretty ashamed.  But, I'm happy to say it was a one time little glitch and Serena and I are A-Ok now.  I don't love her like I loved my Sophie Snuggles, but we get along well enough that she can stay with me until she finds her forever home.

I'm thinking she'll find her perfect home quickly!

  1. Hi Serena! Gosh, you're gawjuss. You sure did pick yourself out a good foster family! And one with SNOW even! Don't worry too much about Corbin. He probably just misses his Sophie Snuggles and is feeling a little grumpy about that. But I bet he'll come around real soon to your Wootiful Ways!

  2. Hey, Serena - am I your brudder from another mudder? You sure do look a lot like me - even down to that cute pink snooter:)

We know you will work your winning ways on Corbin and we also hope you find that wonderful forever home soon - wish we could have you here.

Woos, Lightning (who is definitely not very "serena".

  3. You know ...odd is it is - dogs often get along with there own breed better then any other - so it always takes time when it is a different breed. Mom calls it dog snobbery.....she says I am a classic case. I get along just fine with the Dweeb Denny but barely tolerated Dweeb Jackie. And when we went to doggy day care I would hang out with other shelties and not other doggies until I really really got to know them

  7. You're being so nice sharing your home with Serena... I know it can be tough sometimes to get along with everyone and I'm sure you're doing your best. But, look at the bright side, she's awfully pretty and could make a good fluffy pillow for you to rest your head on until she finds her forever home!

  16. Howdy Corbin, hey ya know our angel brother Brucey had a bit of a problem with a husky with blue eyes and our trainer said some doggies don't like the blue starey eyes. They might look a bit intimidating. Who knows but maybe that's all it was with you. We think Serena looks gorgeous and we bet you are having fun now. Take care Studly. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
