The look of a very grateful Corbin
Now, this whole day started when I did a post a few months ago called "You Call Me a Pit Bull Like it's a Bad Thing" and my pal, Pip the PipBull, had this great idea to do a blogwide pitty awareness day. I'm so glad everything came together and I can't image a better way to celebrate my birthday than to raise awareness for my breed. It means the world to me that all of you are joining in and this is honestly the best birthday present a Corbin could ever ask for!
What to write, what to write...?
Bring me the computer, I've got it.
Please meet Oakley and Eva... my TWO new foster siblings.

Oakley, Me (Corbin), and Eva
Face to melt the hardest of hearts!
Top notch handsome good looks.
Oakley was one of the most well behaved dogs that the momma has ever seen walk into the rescue. He was friendly with all the other dogs and even ran away from the Chihuahua mix who started biting after him! He loved people and even sat down to be pet -what a charmer! The momma watched as many people walked right past this wonderful dog without even giving him a second glance. This guy is the total package! But, for the people that did stop to meet him, he won them all over! He's a big time snuggler and climbed right into laps and gave out all of his love. What a dude.

Now, usually I don't get dude fosters. I like my ladies. But I've gotta say... this dude is A-OK in my books!
Now, onto Miss. Eva.
Eva is a super sweet little girl. She's only about 45lbs and she's about 4 years old. Poor Eva... her family lost their jobs and their house and had to move in with family where the pooches couldn't go. Somehow, their plea email reached the momma's email box and her heart melted. The momma agreed to help out this family and take in Eva and her brother Duke. So, Eva came to me a few hours after Oakley. She's a wonderful girl and you can definitely tell she had a great family and was really well taken care of. Her and Oakley hit it off right away! They had a great time playing in the yard. She's also a great snuggler and Saturday night when daddy-o was up at the lake, we ALL got to snuggle with the momma... so I was keeping her legs warm and Oakley and Eva had her sandwiched on the couch! BOL! SnuggleFestSlumberParty!
I know a lot of people have reservations about Pit Bulls... but, to those people I say, meet one. Meet me. Meet my foster siblings. Allow yourself an open mind and the chance to make a great, loyal, loving friend. Forget the breed name. What's in a name anyway? We're not bred to fight, we're bred to love. Even if we're raised in awful conditions, we're still wired to love. This is why so many successful adoptions have come from abused and rehibilated pitbulls. We're lovers. Give us the chance to love you.
Thank you again to everyone who participated. This means the world to me. My hope is that all of these Pitty Posts will reach some of those non pitty people. I hope they read and understand all the great things about us. Maybe we can change some minds and maybe, just maybe, we can change the world.
We'll be doing another blog later today with the emails I received from people without blogs! Also, check out my pal, Deccy. He's joining in on Pitty Post Day and what's even better, he's trying to fight the ban of "dangerous dogs" in the UK! I shared my story on his blog today. Oh, and one more thing... the momma will be taking over my blog tomorrow to do her Pitty Post Day post, so make sure you check back tomorrow!
Happy Pitty Post Day!
