Not so Wordless

So, I didn't get a chance to post on Monday, and yesterday I just HAD to show you my battle with the turkey... so today I will catch up from the weekend.  Here's what happened....

Sunday morning, Mom and I woke up... I went outside, came in, ate my breakfast, then joined mom on the couch while she checked emails and such.  Normal weekend morning, right?

Wrong!

About 45 minutes later, while the momma was petting me... she noticed a bump on my back.  A little stunned, she tried to get a closer look.  That's when she saw this....

More bumps!!!
Momma freaked a bit... she had to call Heather and Emmett because we were supposed to be driving to Levi's house for a play date!  Then the momma had to call Grandma Lynda and freak out to her a bit.  Meanwhile, bumps keep coming!
Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!
Finally, the momma called the vet.  The vet told her to give me some Benadryl... wtf.  So she had to run out to the store to get some because there wasn't any in our house.  She gave me 3 per the vets instructions.

Ma... are those magic pills really going to work?
So, we waited and waited and waited. 2 hours later, I looked like this....

Ma, this isn't funny anymore....
So, she called the vet again... and she said to bring me in for some injections... UGH!
But, when I look like this, I guess the momma didn't have a choice!
So, off to the vets we went... Heather came along for the ride, so that made everything better!  I just love seeing her!  The vet gave me 2 injections, one of benadryl and one of cortisone.  They hurt pretty bad, especially the second one.  But, I took it like a man!

Finally around 9pm that night, most of my bumps had gone away... Phew, it was  a scary one!  I seem to be all sorts of okay now.  The vet thinks I might have gotten bitten by an insect.  Stupid bugs.  So... that's how I spent my Sunday.  I even had to miss the end of the Giants game while we headed to the vet!  AND, mom said I wasn't allowed to go to Grandpaw Jacks because I eat too much while I'm there and she wanted to keep an eye on everything I did and ate.  Ugh.  How Rude.  But, I seem to be all better! So no worries!
