So, this ice stuff really sucks. Dad took me out last night before bed, and when I came in he whipped off my paws. That's when he noticed I was bleeding, so he took me straight to mom. Sure enough, the mean old ice cut my legs up!!! So, as soon as I saw Mom turn on the "concerned face," I started crying like it really hurt, because I got a LOT of sympathy. So mom cleaned my cuts and put medicine stuff on them. Then she yelled at me for venturing out into the icy parts of the yard! And said I was going out in my boots from now on. Ugh, I hate those boots. Anyway, no real concern here... I'm fine. Just a few cuts and scratches that I'll milk as long as possible!
No pictures of my big night... so I'll leave you with one of my handsome face.
Later dudes!
Ewwww...ice sucks!! Hope your feetsies are okay! Tell your mom cheese helps heal them faster!
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in a boot pikture... :)

ReplyDeleteYou should have them snowblow the yard for you. That's what I had my staff do for me. I mean what do I look like some kind of beast. I refuse to go out when the sky throws those icy pellets at me. Snow I like. Ice can suck it.

has been having that bloody paw problem too. I'm just hoping that since we're half-way through already, hopefully we won't have any ice left. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteWe know you don't like the cold and snow very much, Corbin, and we are so sorry you have those cuts from the ice. We hope your boots help out. When we come in from the snow, we always sit and lick our paws clean. We sure are glad we don't have any ice here right now. Take care.

Oh, pooooor Corbin. I feel awfully sorry for you - both for your tootsies getting cut AND for having to wear boots. (Shiver!) I knew you could slip on ice but I didn't know it could cut you! You better stay out of it from now on, Corbin. I hope your owies heal up real fast.

Oh no that sounds horrible, I guess being a light little kitty is a good thing. I just walk on top of the snow and ice.
ReplyDeleteAh no...dats why Dad hasn't let me out in a long time...when will it be spring/ summer again!
ReplyDeleteYou know what is the worst? When the top of the snow is hard and crunchy but your feet go through it and then when you try and walk your leggies get scratched on the ice. Is that what happened to you? I think you should wear boots AND shin pads.
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Mango
Oh Corbin! I hope your feets feel better real fast!!
ReplyDeleteOuch, that sounds painful! I am sick of this silly ice (and winter). Enough already! I may just stay inside until spring.
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
That sounds painful Corbin. We hope your paws heal soon. Lots of love, Holly and mom
ReplyDeleteAww Corbin!! kisses n hugz for those hurts! ;)
ReplyDelete-JBenz
That ice is really bad. Sorry you don't like your boots but aren't they better than cut paws? Maybe?
ReplyDeleteSounds like you need boots and a full set of ice hockey goalie gear to protect you. Maybe your mom could put some of that Bag Balm on your tootsies?
ReplyDeleteJed & Abby
Mommy say nice stupid icccccce.. now we get to see you in silly costumes like those tiny chihuahuas in clothes.. BOL !
ReplyDeletePoor Corbin... Our vet always has us soak paw pads in black tea when they're cut or sore. The tannins help toughen up the pads. We just use a tea bag, soak it in warm water, cut an x in the bag material on the side that will contact the paw pad, put it in a plastic bag and on the paw pad, and then cover the bag and paw with a boot. We walk the dog around the house for a few minutes before taking it off and cleaning it thoroughly so the tea on the paw doesn't stain anything.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to help. I hope that Corbin's paws feel better soon or that he decides that he doesn't mine boots!
Oh Corbin, ice is just no fun! Our parking lot here is covered with it and I slip and slide all over it. Mom has talked about getting some boots for me too.....YUCK!!!
ReplyDeleteWoof!
