Summer

Holy puppies!  It's AUGUST already!  Mom said that means summer is almost over.  I guess since I'm new to this blog thing, I should tell you a little bit about how my summer has gone.  One word: GREAT!

Furdad takes me on really long car rides in the firebird - which I LOVE!  Usually we head up to the boat.
Don't we look like a couple of studs?
Normally I don't like to stick my nose out of the windows, but who can resist in this car?  Dad took a picture of me while we were cruising...

We look super cool.

Anyway, like I was saying... there's a boat that involves an awesome car ride.  Once we get there, mom makes sure I have my life jacket on.  Man, who could resist me in that jacket?
Every girls crazy for a sharp dressed man...
I'm locked, loaded and READY to go!  Mom and dad have taken me to a few places on the lake.  My favorite, by far, is Log Bay!  I get to rest in my float and enjoy the weather and all of my friends, Grampa Jack, Uncle Bobby and Aunt Andrea.  And of course my Aunt Miss. Katie.  Sometimes she stays with me when mom and dad go up to the lake without me... then we go up and spend the day there!

I also get to go in the shallow waters and play ball.  I really enjoy splashing and jumping in the water!  Everyone always comments on how silly I look, especially when the top of my back and my head are out of the water and I try to shake myself dry!  I can also be quite naughty, and when I can reach with all 4 paws, I squat and take a leak.  Hey, everyone does it, right?  Shhh...just don't tell any of the females.

I like to sunbathe to dry off and take a break... I also have to greet everyone that walks by.  Sometimes people get scared and ask mom if I'm nice.  Well, duh.  Of COURSE I'm nice.  I just want to lick your face if you'll let me...

Log Bay can be a long boat ride, so sometimes we just go to a near by bay.  Although, this isn't as exciting as Log Bay, it's rather relaxing.  Sometimes I make it exciting... like, the first time we anchored at this bay.  I was hanging out on the back of the boat when dad jumped in the lake.  Well, not really sure of what that entailed, I followed him!  Let me tell you... it was pretty scary.  That's one BIG and DEEP water dish!  I sunk for a few seconds while my mom's heart was beating out of her chest.  Finally dad came over to rescue me and help me swim towards the boat.  I jumped in a few times after that before I figured out it was pretty fun.  I also realized that I could make it onto Grampa Jack's boat.  This ensured me many treats and lots of lovin's.

One of my FAVORITE parts of the lake is the beer.  Yep, beer.  But don't worry.  Mom makes sure I don't drink it... only when I beat her to it when it spills... and sometimes when dad's not paying attention and just opened a new can, I drink the little that spills over on the top of the can.  I more so just like to relax with it near by.
I'm usually pretty tired after my lake days.  I snooze out on the car rides home.  Usually mom has to drag me out of bed the next morning, or off the couch if I don't make it to bed...

I'm sure I'll have some more stories before summer ends!  So you better stay tuned.
