Well, folks... Since my last update almost a month ago, I'm STILL feelin' good! I have my good days and my bad days, but the truth is... I'm feeling good. And the REALLY good news? I've been ouchie free for TWO WEEKS!!! So, that means I get to decrease my prednisone again and see how I do on an even LOWER dose! This puts me so much closer to being off the prednisone completely and hopefully be back to a 100% Corbin. Also, hoping that once I'm off the prednisone, my heart will go back to being a normal size and working good and I won't have to be on my heart medications anymore! I'm all sorts of excited that I'm gettin' all better... but we never did figure out what was wrong, so I guess we'll never know how long "all better" will last, but I'm hoping it's like... forever!
*I know I have some new followers, so I included some links above if you're wondering what the heck I'm talking about!
100% Corbin means BOAT TIME!!!
Also, don't forget about Pitty Post Day on Monday, June 4, 2012! It also happens to be my 3rd birthday, so it would mean SO much to me if all of my Blogville friends participated! Doggies, Kitties, aw heck, even squirrels can join in!
I'm giving away TWO of my birthday presents: One will go to a lucky winner out of everyone who helped spread the word, and the other will go to a lucky winner of EVERYONE who participates in Pitty Post Day! I'M SO EXCITED!
Unfortunately, the momma said I can't be shipped out as the prize.
Sorry, Puddles ladies!
Well that's excellent news about your ouchies mate! Just one other thing though; you CANNOT let Sqibbles participate in Pitty Post Day! It's just not right, the pesky little bas**rds!! ;-) Deccy x

ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
OH Corbin! I've been catching up on your health posts and I'm so happy to hear that you feel better. You know, juno had a mysterious illness that landed her in the hospital for a week with a very high fever. to this day they don't know if it was bacterial or viral but treated it for bacterial because it was safer treatment... anyhoo, i do know the frustraiton of not knowing.
ReplyDeleteAnd I have to say, you and Loki are so alike, all crackery at the vets and not wanting to be taken from momma... OMG, you're like soul brothers! geesh. big pansy crackers if you ask me... but then again... i should be careful who i say that too...i've got my own cracker who will get even with me here for callin' him a pansy.
But seriously...the mysterious ouchie... as i was reading (and i can't help but guess-diagnose myself) but have your mom and you tried "elimination" diets? i've recently noticed a HUGE effect on my own joint health (person) from deleting wheat and grains. and let me tell you, the joint pain alone causes a lot of ouchie and grumpiness for ME... after going off wheat, it has disappeared. when i introduce wheat again, the joint pain comes back. so i just wondered maybe, just maybe, it could be a food allergy that causes some joint inflamation? i know you had the heart thingie going on (also unexplained but possibly caused from pred)... but i have to wonder if any of the general owies could be from a food allergy. food allergies are REALLY hard to diagnose and usually only can tell by elmination diets and they have to be eliminated a LONG time (weeks) before noticing BIG changes. just something to chew on... ohhhh...that could be the wrong thing to say to a cracker...
anyway... I loves ya BECAUSE you a cracker. And I say that like it's a bad thing. Pit Bull? phhh! Nothin... But a cracker? RUN! ;) teee-heee
Glad you are feeling better!
