Who missed Corbin antics???

Well, YOU my friends, are in luck because I have a little story for you.

Let me set the stage for you... the momma's went to the food store after work - not the dog food store, the people food store that I'm not allowed in.  So, when she got home, she had to take ALL the bags of foods from the car to the kitchen.  I sat nicely and watched.  Then, she was putting all the stuff in their spots... and... well, this is how it went.

The momma: Coooooorbiiiiin..... (she drags my name out when she's not quite sure she's mad yet)
Corbin:  What?
The momma: CORBIN! (in the quick oh-you-are-in-trouble! tone)
Corbin: What?
The momma: Corbin!  Do you not understand the word "NO!"?!
Corbin: Oh, well, I do... but sometimes I get confused somewhere between the N and the O... maybe there's a silent yes? NyesO?
The momma:  Ugh, Corbin.
Corbin: Oh... the bread?  Was that yours?
The momma: YOU know better.  You're BOLD.
Corbin:  But... I was hungry.
The momma:  You just ate your dinner!
Corbin: I'm a growing young man, momma.  I need more food to help fight my ouchies.
The momma: You're almost 3, you're done growing.  Food won't help your ouchies.  This conversation is over.
Corbin: Can I at least eat the rest of the bread?
The momma: NO!  And NO, there is NO silent YES in there.  The answer is NO.  N.O.
Corbin: Starving...
Corbin: Just look how famished I look....
Corbin: There are starving children all over the world that would love for me to eat this bread.
The momma: ENOUGH.
Corbin: Fine.

  2. I bet your mama was secretly smiling, even though she pretended to be mad. Get into as many antics as you can while you're still ouchies, buddy, because now is probably the best time to actually get away with it! :)

  3. Corbin... We gotta say your mom is full of the unreasonables! We can totally see how starved you are... just look at you... you can't even get up AND we're pretty sure that we read something on the interwebs that said bread helps the ouchies!

  4. Kudos to the mama for making you pose with your stolen bread loot! I bet there was loads of Leave Its in the conversation along with N-O's. :) Maybe you should practice swallowing loaves of bread as quickly as possible, that way, the mama has no time to remind you that there's no silent yes?

  5. Corbin, you would have thought she would have been proud that you were able to get that bread and not have your ouchies hurt you. They just don't seem to understand our needs. Sniffs, The HoundDogs

  14. ppppssss corban - come closer. I will share my food 'protecting' strategy with you. You simply tell your mom your body had a craving for certain proteins, mineral, vitamins and you just had to give in to it :)

  21. Your human needs a reality check. First of all, I am sure there is a silent yes in the word no, particularly when the flashie is out. Next, how about asking her if she always waits until she is hungry to eat. I doubt it. And finally, I think noms DO help your owchies, so there.
