730 Days of Corbin

Well, techanically 731 days of Corbin.  You see... Yesterday was the day when, two years ago, mom swore to my dad she wasn't coming home with a dog and just going to the adoption clinic to get some information...

What happend 30 minutes later? I met my dad, who was "just" my foster dad at that point.  Anywho... this is the day I met my family two years ago, whether they knew they were my forever family or not... this is it, this is the day they let me into their home and into their hearts... and I never left.  Now, I have another Momma-Finally-Signed-the-Adoption-Paperwork-GotchaDay, but that's in February, and it's totally fine with me to celebrate then, too.

But, today... Raise your glasses and toast to me, Corbin!  And Part II: Day 367-731 of my wonderful life!  For Part I: Day 1-366, click HERE!
I remained as handsome as ever.
I taught Bethany that the world wasn't scary and we could play!
And foster sister Fancy how great the couch was!
I had some great play times with great furiends!
Brought the High Life to some great parties.
I fell in love with an unedible hot dog, who my Grandma Lynda
gave a great forever home to!
I became a Canine Good Citizen.
Corbin, CGC.
I helped Ms. Peggy promote her awesome book,
Dieting with my Dog!
I helped Foster Sister Canberra get ready for her foster home.
And brought the beautiful Avery over to be reuinited with her sister, Bethany.
I taught Oreo a lot about life and love... and how to be trusting
even when so many give you reasons not to trust.
Enjoyed some great days at the lake.
I put up with lots of nibbles from tiny puppy Patches
Survived Hurricane Irene with Mia
Represented my Rescue at Bark at the Park!
Went on some adventures with Emmett
And made some great memories with my mom and dad!
I'm thankful every day, even the days when I chew my bed, for my second chance at life.  I'm thankful for my parents who welcomed an unknown pit bull type dog into their home, not knowing much about the breed themselves.  I'm thankful they've helped me learn and become an advocate for my breed.  I'm thankful my mom allows me to have a blog so I can share my wonderful stories with the world.  And most importantly, I'm thankful that my family allows me to foster and that I play a part in helping homeless pets find their home.

And, I'm thankful for all of YOU who read my blog and support me!
Cheers to another 365 days!

  9. Oh how wonderful. We just love reading about pups finding their furever families! And it looks like you got a bang up one. We just found your blog thru the sadness of the HPP. We think the new friends we found is a bit of an upside in all the sadness.
