Former Foster Friday

Well... my newest foster sister, Patches the spunky puppy, is now my former foster sister.  Yep, she's ALREADY been adopted!  But, who would have said no to that adorable face?  Anywho, I had a lot of fun playing with her while she was here.  Mom only got a handful of pictures because she was only here for 2 days, but I'd like to share them with you!

She's like a little pocket pet!  If I had pockets, she'd fit right in them!
Ok, kid... I'll be your jungle-gym...
KID! Those jowls aren't toys... they're attached.
Look at me, big vicious pit bull!  RAWR!
She spent most of her time on her hind legs...
I sure will miss ya, little girl.
Glad you found a wonderful furever home!
Another adoption to mark on my Foster Brother Belt!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!  Monday is Log Bay Day up in Lake George... mom said it's not a good idea for me to go because there are LOTS and LOTS of people and drinking and stuff, but she says she'll take me back there soon... so I won't be around until Wednesday.  I get to stay with Heather and Emmett!

Mom would also like to thank everyone for their super kind words from yesterday's post.  Most of the comments made her teary... it's so nice to know the amount of support everyone has for us. Oreo has been very emotionally exhausting on everyone in our family... we only want the best for her and hope she's finally found it!  We'll keep you updated on her progress.

  7. Patches was just so cute - so very happy that he has found a home. Too bad it doesn't work so easily for all those pups in need of homes. Paws crossed for continued good news on Oreo.

    Have a great weekend.

  16. Patches must have worn you (and maybe your mom, too) completely out! She is adorable, but I am relieved that she went to someone else's home.

P.S. Mom says that she can relate to a lot of Oreo's story from her days as a foster parent. There are some dogs who come along and just break your heart! We have our fingers crossed that this home is the perfect one for Miss Oreo!

  18. You should win a medal for foster-brothering Corbin.

You look so patient and kind letting Patches use you as play equipment. I couldn't do that. You are a very special dog in a very special family and HOORAY for Patches too and her new forever family.

    Love and licks, Winnie

  19. I was so sad to read about little Oreo. Some doggies are special and need special humans and lots of humans mean well but they don't really understand. I sure hope she has found her furever home at last.

  21. what a cutie - no wonder she found a forever home so quickly. It's kinda hard to be the big tough guy with something like that pouncing all over you :)

  28. so great to see another pup adopted. congrats to all!

i really commend you for being a foster home, and i honestly have no idea how you do it. my husband and i would love to be foster parents but are afraid we'd get too attached to the dog(s) and not want to give them up.

i noticed in your previous post about oreo that corbin likes to be the only dog living at home. how does that work out? i think desmond is the same way, but he loves to play with dogs and have dogs around, which is why i was thinking maybe we could foster. how do you get corbin to understand that the dogs are in your house but not forever?
