Thank you, everyone, for your kind words of love and support after we said goodbye to our Corbin. Seeing all the lives that were touched by my boy... it's been a light in a very dark time. His crazy personality filled a room and filled my life. Without him here, I feel so incredibly lost. He was a very special boy and has left an enormous hole in our lives.
Thank you sounds so little, but please know it means so much. It's been heartwarming to see how many people were touched by his vibrant personality. We hope those who have smiled, laughed, gasped or cried over his life of adventure and mischief will pay it forward in his name. Volunteer at your local shelter or rescue, foster or adopt a deserving best friend, make a donation to a worthy cause. His life brought light to the world of rescue, and although he is no longer here with us, that light will continue to shine bright with his memory. Corbin's short 6 years on this earth may be over, but his journey has not finished...
I hope you'll stick with us as we navigate the next chapter of the Corbin House.
While I never "met" him personally, I still loved him and I miss him. Thank you for sharing his life with us.
ReplyDeleteI really loved sharing life in Blogville with Corbin. He was wonderful and I'm sure you are so hurt without him. I hope you stay here with us and I'll definitely keep following whatever comes next for you. Every time we are at a pet expo and see a pittie rescue group, we always give a little, buy a something and tell the folks there that we "know" a pittie who is wonderful. Always makes us think of Corbin. Lots of warm hugs to you.

we will miss the Corbie so much - we hope he is pain free and running like crazy over the rainbow bridge.
ReplyDeleteI don't know you personally, but I have followed your blog for years and shed a few tears when I found out about Corbin (and the waterworks are starting again right now, GEEZ!) - thank you for loving him and giving him the absolute best life. I also foster dogs and have admired Corbin's excellence as a foster brother. He's an inspiration (SO ARE YOU!!) and I remind my pups to be a good foster brother and sister to our house guests and we'll keep rescuing in Corbin's memory. RIP buddy - run free :)
ReplyDeleteMom said saying goodbye is one of the hardest things ever. Bet Corbin and Benny are having a blast

Thank you for sharing Corbin with us. We hope that Amelia is coping okay, and we look forward to hearing about her. Hang in there... you are in our thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI just read about Corbin's passing. I am so very sorry! He was definitely a dog who filled a blog, a room, and a family with more than anyone could expect. Sending you lots of love and hugs.

So sorry. You and Homeward Bound brought Ben into our lives. I can only imagine your pain.
ReplyDeleteI only recently found your blog and was so sorry to hear of his passing. Like my Barkley, there are certain dogs that leave a pawprint on your heart. May you have nothing but good memories of him in days ahead.

I just read about Corbin's passing too and I'm so sorry. I've always enjoyed his adventures and your stories. Corbin was given a second chance by you and your husband and I'm sure he knew he was soo loved and returned that devotion 10 times over.
