Wow!

The momma took over the blog yesterday and discussed some of my misbehaviors.  I, personally, think she totally over reacted... but, isn't that what momma's do?

Don't you think you exaggerated JUST a tad?

She was right about one thing though, I DO enjoy training time!  Know why?  Lots of yummy noms.  And, secretly -although, now it's no longer a secret- I love being told what a good boy I am!  And, I really do love the hide and seek game we play.... the momma always makes me think super hard about where she's hiding!  And, ya know, it might come in handy some day if the momma ever runs off and gets lost in the woods!  Although, I must admit, my sniffer is no where near as good as Küster's!  But, I do get more yummy noms when I find her, so I search really hard.

Noms that look like pizza!

I was glad to read all the comments and support and know that the momma and I are not the only ones going through a training lapse!  Dontcha know that in just 24 hours, that blog post became the SECOND most read blog post of all time for Oh, Corbin?!  Seriously, it's only about hundred views away from our most popular post to date: You call me a Pit Bull like it's a bad thing.  I guess people really like reading about my misbehaviors!

I'll be working REAL hard on my misbehaviors.

Reilly and Denny's momma did remind MY momma that the Prednisone I'm on can also cause me to show some extra aggressions.  The momma did remember learning about that least year when I first started taking the steroid, but it's slipped her mind recently.  There has been a change in my attitude since starting it, I used to love playing with other canine friends, but now I'm a little reserved and save my playing energies for fetch with dad.  But, odds are looking like I'll have to be on some amount of Prednisone for the rest of my life to keep my back ouchies at bay... so the momma and I will need to learn what part of my misbehaviors are the drugs and what part is the Corbin being a stubborn smart pooch.

It'll be an adventure for sure!

  1. We know you are really the perfect doggie Corbin and the occasional mis-behaviors happen so need to worry - we do it all the time too....it is what keeps the peeps on their toes :) :). My Mom has been on and off prednisone for like 30 years with her Lupus and once you get your maintenance dose sorted out and can stay on that she found the mood swings etc tend to level out so maybe a bit of this as a result of being on a big dose while you had your last attack of sickies. We did our 30 minutes of purposeful training this morning - it stuck in the Mom's head what your Mom said....but we like the treats and the extra good boys too :)

  3. I loves training time too, Corbin. Momma thinks she's going to try that hiding game now. It sounds like fun for both of us.

  7. We didn't get to comment yesterday, but we agree that training is a lifelong adventure. We have our lapses too. Thunder was having thyroid issues that Mom didn't know about and he had gotten grumpy. Now that his thyroid is under control with his meds, he is back to being his lovable self. We are sure that all your sickies and now the prednisone have definitely had their impact on you. But we still think you are one great pup.

  11. My boys think they need to be with me every single waking moment, so I'm not sure if we could play hide and seek. They'd just follow me to where ever I'm trying to hide! It sounds like fun though.

I opened your package when I got it, but didn't open the envelope with the coupon. I opened it today and was surprised to see that you sent TWO of them! I don't know if you meant to do that or not, but thank you! The weather is finally warming up enough for ice cream, so I'll have to get to the store and pick some up for them to try.

  12. Hi there Corbin,

We are happy to meet you through Pip and Puddles. We do hope that your back ouchies will stay away. We think you are adorable and training can really be a challenge. Piappies Mom has not be so lucky with any of us being so well-behaved. Keep up being a good pup. We hope that it's ok with you that we add you to our blog list to stay in touch.

  13. Hey Corbin,
You know what else you reminded my momma? Some days, it is even better to cut our walkies short so that we have time for training instead. It's just a different way to interact and all those noms and good boys really feel good.

    Kisses,
    Dexter
