Former Foster Friday

I still have to tell you about my eyes... and my tail... but that can wait until a less cool day.  Today is FRIDAY!  So why talk about icky stuffs?

Remember Fancy?

Fancy was adopted during last Saturday's clinic - however, don't get too excited.  Poor Fancy was returned the next day because she played too much with their other dog.

Yea.

Really.

That was their excuse.

So since we have Bethany this week, Fancy is hanging out with Emmett.  But last Friday, I had Fancy AND Bethany at my house!  We had a lot of fun.

We hung out
We sat for treats
We played.  I was just so excited I had 2 ladies over!
That's me and Fancy under the coffee table
We like to play under there.
Hehe girlie butts
Tug!
Talk to the tail!
3 way tug!!!
Hangin' out outside
Followin' Bethany
Bethany can always find one of my toys
She loves to run around with them... I usually let her
Inside, waiting for treats
hehe this picture makes me giggle.
then we were all pretty tired... mom tried getting all of us in this
picture, but she cut Fancy's head off :-(  Poor Fancy
hehe, this is what she looked like, all tired!
I was really sad when I heard that she was coming back.  And mom was real mad because she wasn't at clinic to seriously question the people that adopted her.  Oh well, at least she's happy with Emmett for now!  She's such a great girl, she really needs the most perfect home!
Her snoozin' over at Heather's!

I was over at Two Pitties in the City this morning and saw they posted about a chip in for Shy!  You can read their blog about her story here.  Shy was severely neglected and has developed cataracts and is rapidly losing her vision.  There is a chip in going on to help raise some money for a specialized surgery that can help her regain her full site!  The surgery is pretty expensive, so they appreciate any help that you can give them!  You can help with the chip in HERE.  My mom and I are going over shortly to donate a few dollars to help her out!  If everyone donates just a few bucks, it would help so much!

We got all this infromation from Two Pitties in the City's blog - please go visit them for more infromation!
Isn't she just beautiful?!  She's also looking for her forever home, or even a foster home.  Who wouldn't want to help out this lady?

  4. I think Fancy is much better than that she didn't have to spend much time with people who don't know much about dogs. And THANK YOU so much for spreading the word about Shy. It's so great to be a part of such generous and devoted people.

  10. Wow, those people are pathetic! She'll find a MUCH better home the next time around, especially if your mom can be involved!

Ollie is jealous you got to hang out with two ladies at one time. He is convinced Flash ruins his game!

  11. I can't believe Ms. Fancy was brought back because she played too much. Those people don't seem to understand dogs. Of course dogs want to play. At least she is in a great foster home for the time being. And now hopefully, she will find the right furever home for her to be happy, and she will be able to play as much as she wants!

  12. Played too much, they didn't even give her a chance to get settled. She was probably just excited to be home...huh, some home.

  13. WOWZERS! Could they come up with a more lame excuse!

  14. Well, Fancy is obviously too good for those losers anyway!

We sent a few green papers to Shy, too! We are so hoping she finds a good home and can get that surgery!

  17. I suppose it's good news Fancy was returned and not just given to someone else. But we can't believe it was she played too much....and it was only the first day. Great news that she could come play with you as much as she wanted.

Hope she finds THE right family soon.

  18. Dogs playing too much...Hello! Have they ever been around two dogs before? Sorry, don't want to be snotty, but that is ridiculous. Of course two dogs who are new to each other are going to be excited.
    Anyway, she is soooooo pretty.
Now give us all of your eye details (you are stalling).

  22. I am very impressed with your involvment with foster. What beautiful dogs they have all been. I just want to tell you how awesome I think that is and something I think I would like to do in the future. I just think you are very special people for doing what you do.

  24. Well, if they thought the first 24 hours were indicative of what life would be like then maybe they are not good candidates for a second dog anyway. I hope things work out.

  25. The "excuses" that people give just kill me. I volunteer for Weim rescue and I am the Relinquishment Coordinator so I hear them all. Makes me sick to my stomach. Especially the I just had a baby and can't take care of a baby and a kid at the same time. Ughh...

  26. We are sorry to hear about the return of Fancy, those people didn't do things which makes sense at all. Anyway, I think it's better for Fancy as she can find a much better caring family in the near future.

  27. We're bummed that Fancy was returned! But we're sure her perfect family is just waiting to find her!

  28. Sorry to hear that Fancy was returned. It kills me when people adopt then return them the next day. Paws Crossed that Fancy will find her forever family very shortly, she looks like a Great dog.

  29. That story about Fancy being returned because she "played too much with their other dog" was unbelievable! What do those people expect?

It looks like you had a blast with both Fancy and Bethany. What fun!

I hope that the icky stuff isn't too bad.

  30. Oh Corbin, if Fancy could fly to Oz I would adopt her. She looks beautiful. As for playing too much, can there be such a thing? I would have thought they couldn't play enough! Good luck Fancy with finding the right family for you. No worries, love Carol.
